While there is plenty of great slots strategy out there, not all of it pertains to players with small bankrolls. And it's actually quite important that low rollers stick to slots advice that's meant specifically for them. This being said, let's take a look at what slots players with small bankrolls should be focusing on when they play the game.

Slots Payout Frequency

The most important thing to a low roller should be payout frequency. The reason why is because payout frequency gives you a good indication as to how often a game will make payouts, and with a small bankroll, you need lots of little payouts to keep your money steady. Unfortunately, there is no definitive number for payout frequency, and it takes some observation skills on your part to figure out how often a game makes payouts.

The easiest way to do this is by looking at the lowest payouts that a slots game offers. Assuming you see a lot of small payouts such as 2 coins, 3 coins, 5 coins, 10 coins and on, there's a very good chance that this game makes frequent small payouts. However, if a game started its payouts at 7 coins, then went to 10 coins, 15 coins, 25 coins and upwards, you're very unlikely to get good payout frequency here.

Avoid Huge Slots Jackpots

As slots players, we all want to win big and get rich. But the only problem with this is that the vast majority of big slots jackpots require large spins to win. For example, betting a penny per spin isn't going to qualify you for a $2 million progressive jackpot; instead, your max prize is going to be much smaller than this.

The point is that big progressive slots games will drain your bankroll rather quickly because of the high spin costs you must pay to qualify for the top prize. And if you don't make qualifying spins, there's no point in playing these games because you won't be in line for the highest payout percentage (since you're not able to win the progressive jackpot).

Now this isn't to say that you forever have to avoid progressive slots, but until your bankroll gets bigger, it is a good idea to do so.
